Game Theory Picks Weekly Recap: August 10 - 16

Weekly Recap August 10-16th

Another week in the books, brings us to another weekly recap! It was another week jam packed with action, as the NHL playoffs began, and the NBA wrapped up their “Bubble” Regular Season format. We believe it is extremely important to provide, not only our clients, but all our followers across our social media platforms, complete transparency with our plays and results. This is what separates us from the other cappers out there! Now on to our recap for the week!

NHL 3-3 (+0.45u)

NHL has been one of our most profitable sports all season long and that has not changed since they returned to the ice. Knowing how to back underdogs in the NHL has helped us to produce a total of +33u on the season. This past week we finished 3-3 +0.45u while picking two underdog winners that paid +120 and +125, as well as hitting the under in Game 4 of the Vegas/Chicago series. Even though we hit 50% for the week, the value in taking underdogs propelled us to a winning week on the ice, as we anticipate with playing underdogs on the ice. Hockey (especially in the playoffs) is so evenly matched that it’s difficult to find real value on many of the favorites.

NBA 7-3 (+3.7u)

The NBA has wrapped up its shortened season and is now transitioning into the playoffs in Orlando. We continue to dominate the NBA finishing 70% on the week. In the 2020 NBA season we have hit 54.6% of our plays and produced 20.17-units of profit. Clients are 3-1 in the NBA Playoffs through one day thus far this week and we will look to continue the winning trend.

WNBA 0-1 (-1.65u)

We didn't see much opportunity in the WNBA this week. We sent just one play to clients that didn't go our way. Nine points in the last 30 seconds of the game spoiled our under bet by a HALF POINT. Unfortunately, these close losses will happen, but we look forward to continuing to take advantage of soft lines in the WNBA throughout the season.

MLB 7-12 (-4.26u)

The MLB season is well underway and full of action each and every day. Although baseball has been treating us well all season long, we cooled off a bit this week. Our break-even point is extremely low for MLB due to the fact the majority of our plays are decent size underdogs. This was a great week for favorites and the public alike. As it stands we are still up over 8 units on the young season.

PGA 0-2 (-3.38u)

The PGA tour took to the Wyndham Championship last week in North Carolina. Looking back to July, our PGA is hitting at an astonishing 65% rate for matchups! This week didn't turn out how we wanted as we missed on both our tournament matchups. Clients can expect a couple PGA plays for the Northern Trust Tournament that take places on August 20-23rd of this week.
