Weekly Recap (8/3-8/9)
A fantastic week in the books for the Game Theory team, with all sports going for positive units and another 2-0 sweep on the Golf Course! With FIVE different sports underway last week, including the first Golf Major of 2020 (The PGA Championship), our team found plenty of opportunities to capitalize in this post-COVID marketplace with underdogs coming through galore.
- NHL 4-1 (+2.95u)
The first NHL Futures play of the "new season" was sent to all clients before last week began - Flames to win their series versus the Jets. This play was highlighted in great detail, as all clients received a write-up explaining the Flames' massive advantage in this Best-of-5 series. Calgary took down Winnipeg easily in four games, and now will face-off versus the Dallas Stars in the opening round of the playoffs.
Four other non-future plays were sent out last week, 3 of the 4 being winners, including the UNDER in Game 4 of EDM vs. CHI - a game in which 65% of all bets were placed on the OVER (and ended up being the only game in the series to finish UNDER the total).
- NBA 5-4 (+0.60u)
A profitable week in the "Orlando Bubble". Our clients enjoyed a 4-1 record on five underdog Against-The-Spread plays, including THREE outright winners: Grizzlies (vs. OKC), Nets (vs. SAC), & Mavericks (vs. MIL). Expect to see a lot of teams resting players this week, as the Regular Season wraps up on Friday.
- WNBA 3-2 (+2.50u)
As more WNBA games begin to take place this season, we are able to collect more & more data on the league itself, to gain a better advantage. After a few slow WNBA weeks, the week of 8/3 - 8/9 was a GREAT one, with all three of our WNBA 1.5-unit plays cashing last week! There is only 12 total teams in the WNBA; therefore, you won't see a ton of action played, however, there is still great value to be found!
- MLB 9-10 (+3.3u)
Our MLB plays continue to thrive in this shortened 60-game season. The market has not fully adjusted to some key underlying factors, and our clients have been able to fully take advantage of this. Last week, our clients hit FOUR Money-Line winners with +135 or greater odds. In the new 2020 season, we have won FIVE Money-Line plays with +200 or greater odds!!!
- PGA 2-0 (+3.35u)
The first major of 2020 was a great one, with Colin Morikawa taking home 1st place and a nice prize of $2 million. Our team absolutely crushed it the weekend, as D. Berger was within striking distance throughout the entire tournament & placed in the Top-20 (+185) with ease, while J. Rahm made a nice push in his Saturday/Sunday rounds to finish 7 strokes under par in 13th place.
We finished last week with an overall record of 23-17 +12.71units - Congrats to all our clients!
